Arena of Life Churches

Arena of Life in San Angelo, Texas

Chunky & Laura Nelms
Pastor Chunky & Laura Nelms

With a call from God and help from Amarillo Cowboy Church, Chunky and Laura Nelms planted the Arena of Life church in January of 2003.

Our desire is that real people with real problems come and that they be introduced to a real Jesus. Since the inception of the church, God has moved mightily in people’s lives. Drug addicts, alcoholics, the mentally unstable, and the sick have all found healing at the foot of the cross. All are welcomed and all are loved.

Arena of Life Church in Princeton, Louisiana

James & Kay Gilbert
Pastor Kay & James Gilbert

Kay Gilbert founded Cowboy Outreach Ministries in Northwest Louisiana in 1990. Kay was a rodeo mother with two daughters active in rodeo and was not able to attend regular church services on Sunday. In her travels she discovered many families in the same situation. Kay’s ministry started at her home and has since gathered at auction barns, rodeos, barrel races, team pennings, team ropings, and many other events.

In 1998 Kay married James Gilbert and they are now the joint pastors of Cowboy Outreach Ministries and the Arena of Life Church in Princeton, Louisiana. Cowboy Outreach Ministry and the Arena of Life is an interdenominational church reaching out each week to the people in Northwest Louisiana and the western community.
